2023 Kleinlerer Pinot Noir
Sonoma Coast (Organically farmed)
Sonoma County, California
OK, fellow wine nerd. This wine is produced from a single clone: Clone 9 (Jackson Clone). This rare clone is often blended with other Pinot Noir clones because of its scarcity, so this is a unique and beautiful wine. One of the most expressive Pinot Noir wines Kleinlerer Wines released, its aromatics are bright and rich, redolent of wild strawberry, bing cherry and sandalwood while adding elegant tannic structure and bright, racing acid. When you taste this Jackson Clone Pinot Noir, you will be moonwalking through the vineyards singing “Pi-heehee-no Noir!” Mamase mamasa mamamakosah.
The Pinot Noir is produced using indigenous yeast, and aged in neutral oak barrels. It is 25% whole cluster, unfined, unfiltered, and produced with minimal sulfur. While it’s “natural” per European standards, it’s bright and luscious on your palate.
