2024 Kleinlerer Pinot Noir
Carneros (Organically farmed)
Sonoma County, California
Non Mevushal
OK, fellow wine nerd. This wine is produced from a single clone: Clone 2A (Wädenswil Clone). This Swiss clone is expressive in its aromatics, redolent of wild, alpine strawberry, orange rind, and ripe bing cherry balanced with elegant tannic structure and bright, racing acid. When you taste the wine, you will want to be running through the fields of Swiss cows while yodeling this wine’s virtues.
The Pinot Noir is produced using indigenous yeast, and aged in neutral oak barrels. It is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and produced with minimal sulfur. While it’s “natural” per European standards, it’s bright and luscious on your palate.
Oh…and did I mention…every 2024 vintage of Kleinlerer Wine is certified and not mevushal. (The production style has not changed. The only difference? The holy hands that touched the wine with my direct supervision and instruction).
